Benguet caretaker congressman and Anti-Crime and Terrorism through Community Involvement and Support (ACT-CIS) Party-list Rep. Eric Go Yap donated P2.5 Million of Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) to ensure the safety of the health workers in Benguet in battling COVID-19..

The donation includes hazmat suits, thermal scanners, surgical gloves, face masks, N95 masks, goggles, alcohol, and acrylic boxes. With the COVID-19 crisis, these are the supplies most needed by hospitals.

“Sila ang ating frontliners, sila ang unang humaharap para makontrol at maiwasan ang pagkalat ng COVID-19. Hindi naman natin hahayaan na wala silang tamang kagamitan at panangga laban sa sakit na ‘to. We know the risks that they are exposed to, as they attend to our patients. Malaki ang tungkulin na ginagampanan nila para masiguro na gagaling ang pasyente at para tiyakin na hindi kakalat ang COVID-19 sa ating komunidad.” Yap said

Congressman Yap thanked all the health workers for their service and sacrifices for always protecting the people.

“They must be protected by providing them the means to fight the pandemic.” Yap added.

Earlier Rep. Yap donated P1 million to the provincial government purposely for its aggressive campaign against the spread of the dreaded Corona Virus Disease (CORONA) 2019 in the province.

Represented by his Benguet-based staff Anthony Kuan turned over to Gov. Melchor Diclas the check.
