The City Health Office is reminding parents that children belong to the vulnerable population as they are now allowed to go out despite the pandemic Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) and the presence of Delta variant in the Philippines.

City Health Officer Dr. Dulce Amor D. Miravite said, children are part of the vulnerable population which means they have higher risk of getting the infection and none of them are vaccinated at this time.

“We have to keep in mind everytime we bring children outside our homes,” the city health officer said.

Recall, the local government already allowed 12 to 17 years old to go out with adult supervision and following health protocols. For children 5 to 11 years old, they are allowed to go out on weekends in open air also following health protocols.

In the City, the active cases of Covid-19 continues to go down at 195, for recovery 11,179, and death 583.  (R.G Antonet Go)
