Zamboanga del Sur – The Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion (53IB) participated in a bloodletting activity held at the Dumalinao Municipal Gym in conjunction with the 65th Araw ng Dumalinao last June 16.
Said activity was spearheaded by the Municipal Government of Dumalinao led by its Municipal Mayor Junaflor S. Cerilles and was participated by a total of 27 blood donors.
The ‘Araw ng Dumalinao’ is celebrated annually on June 16 by virtue of Republic Act No. 1593 which was approved on June 16, 1956
This activity is part of the 53IB’s drive to strategically communicate the Army’s transformation to become world class that is a source of national pride by 2028 in line with the Army Transformation Roadmap. (ATR)
