Usa ka detalyadong pagsusi sa krimen sa rehiyon sa Central Visayas diin nagpakita sa usa ka dakong pagkunhod sa mga kaso nga may kalabutan sa gender-based violence, sumala sa datos sa Police Regional Office 7 (PRO-7).
Matod sa report sa Women and Children Protection Desk sa Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (WCPS-RIDMD), ang Crime Incident Reporting and Analysis System (CIRAS) nakarehistro og 462 ka kaso sa gender-based violence sa Enero ug Pebrero sa 2024. Kani nga ihap mikunhod sa 447 ka kaso sa parehong bulan sa 2025, nga nagpakita og 15 ka kaso nga pagminus o 3.25 porsyento nga pagkunhod.
Ang labing kasagarang kasong narehistro mao ang paglapas sa Republic Act 9262 o Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004.
Matod ni PBGEn Redrico Maranan, Regional Director sa PRO-7, ang maong positibong trend resulta sa daghang mga programa sa pagpahibalo sa komunidad, mas lig-on nga pagpatuman sa balaod, ug mga protective measures alang sa mga kababayen-an ug ubang vulnerable nga populasyon.

These desks are staffed by officers who are specially trained to assist women in filing cases and accessing necessary legal and social support. Dugang pa niya nga ang pagkunhod sa mga kaso sa gender-based crime sa Central Visayas nagpakita sa positibong kausaban ug naghatag og oportunidad nga ipadayon ang mga reporma alang sa mas luwas nga komunidad. (Renante Socia Lada)
