Cebu Landmasters Inc. (CLI), the leading developer in Visayas and Mindanao, dominated the recent PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards 2021 (PPA) with 11 wins including Best Developer (Visayas) and Best Developer (Mindanao).
Presented by the global brand Kholer, the PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards is the most respected and most sought-after real estate industry honors. The event is part of the Regional PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards program established in 2005. With a professionally run and supervised judging system, the Asia Property Awards is the gold standard in real estate.
The other awards that CLI bagged include Best Township (Davao Global Township). Best Mega Mixed-Use Development (Patria de Cebu), Best Condo Development (Visayas, MesaVirre Garden Residences), Best Affordable Condo Development (Metro Cebu, Casa Mira Towers Mandaue), Best Affordable Condo Development (Metro Davao, One Paragon Place), Best Housing Development (Mindanao, Velmiro Uptown CDO), Best Hotel Interior (Radisson RED) and Special Recognitions in ESG and in Sustainable Design and Construction.
Stellar awards for stellar projects
The P33 billion Davao Global Township (DGT), CLI’s first township project, bagged PPA’s Best Township Award. DGT is envisioned to transform the 22-hectare Davao Golf Club into Davao City’s central business district. Phase 1 of the development is scheduled to be completed in 2023. It includes The DGT City Center, a retail component whose design was recalibrated to address the needs of the new normal.
PPA 2021’s Best Mega Mixed-Use Development is Patria de Cebu, a mixed-use development offering 22,000 square meters of gross floor area and incorporating a 182-room international hotel at the heart of downtown Cebu City’s heritage trail. With the new Patria de Cebu plaza inspired by important gathering places in Rome and the building architecture showing connectivity to the Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral, the project is expected to uplift and revive the vibrance of downtown Cebu area. CLI envisions to set the new Patria de Cebu as a cultural landmark, bridging the old and new Cebu. Set to open in 2024, Patria de Cebu will offer 4,320 square meters of food, dining and entertainment spaces and 4,400 square meters of offices.
The almost 100 percent sold Mesavirre Garden Residences was awarded as the Best Condo Development in Visayas. Set to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2022, the three-tower residential condominium has a total of 1,072 units. Mesavirre is CLI’s first Garden Series offering in Bacolod City and is strategically located on a 10,000 square meter area along Lacson Street.
The Best Affordable Condo Development in Metro Cebu was awarded to the four-tower Casa Mira Towers Mandaue in Mandaue City, Cebu set to be completed in the second quarter of 2023. Cebu Landmasters’ Casa Mira brand is known to give more space, more amenities and more value to the Filipino family.
One Paragon Place was named as PPA 2021 Best Condo Development in Metro Davao. It is the first residential tower of The Paragon Davao, CLI’s first mixed-use development in Davao City. Now almost 100 percent sold, One Paragon Place has 554 studio, one-bedroom and penthouse units set for completion in the fourth quarter of 2023.
Velmiro Uptown CDO was awarded as the Best Housing Development in Mindanao. The 396-unit mid-market residential subdivision set for completion in the second quarter of 2022 is now 100 percent sold out. It is located on a 14,300 square meter lot in Upper Canitoan in Cagayan De Oro and is accessible to major establishments of the city including schools, hospitals, churches and malls.
The P1.2 billion Radisson RED Cebu Mandaue, the first Radisson RED in the Philippines, bagged the Best Hotel Interior Award. The 144-room hotel scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2023, is part of the Astra Centre, a major mixed-use CLI development along the bustling AS Fortuna Street in Mandaue City, Cebu. Radisson RED has a fitness center, swimming pool, pool bar, F&B, lobby lounge, spa, yoga studio, function and meeting rooms. It is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2023 with 144 rooms.
Leading in VisMin with stellar projects in different stages of development
Cebu Landmasters has over 100 projects in different stages of development in 15 key cities all over Visayas and Mindanao. The listed company is the leading developer in the region in terms of market share according to Santos Knight Frank (SKF). CLI recently disclosed its exceptional performance with a net income of P1.854 billion in the first nine months of the year. This surpassed its full year 2020 income of P1.845 billion. Robust sales and rapid construction progress raised consolidated revenues year on year by 34 percent from P5.7 billion to P7.7 billion.
