Nakasikop ang Police Regional Office 7 (PRO7) ug 500 ka wanted persons sa 505 ka manhunt operations nga gihimo sa tibuok Central Visayas niadtong Marso, isip kabahin sa ilang gipakusog nga kampanya batok sa mga fugitives sa hustisya.
Nasikop sa operasyon ang 108 ka Most Wanted Persons (MWPs) nga prayoridad tungod sa ilang kalambigitan sa seryoso nga krimen sama sa pagpatay, rape, robbery with homicide, ug major drug-related cases, ug 392 ka Other Wanted Persons (OWPs) nga may court-issued warrants of arrest alang sa lain-laing kaso sama sa physical injuries, theft, estafa, ug mga paglapas sa special laws.
Gipahayag ni Police Brigadier General Redrico A. Maranan, Regional Director sa PRO7, nga ang daghang nasikop nagpakita sa walay hunong nga paningkamot sa regional police aron masakmit ang mga fugitives nga nagpadayon sa paghulga sa seguridad sa publiko.
“These wanted individuals have been loitering around our communities, evading justice and posing potential threats to the safety of the public. Their arrest is crucial in preventing further crimes and ensuring that the rule of law prevails in our region,” segon ni PBGen Maranan.
Gidugang pa niya nga ang padayon nga manhunt operations nagpakita sa lig-on nga commitment sa PRO7 sa pagsakmit sa mga fugitives ug pagpatuman sa court-issued warrants.
“We will continue to intensify our operations against wanted persons. No matter how long they attempt to hide, the long arm of the law will eventually catch up with them,” dugang ni PBGen Maranan.
