Sinita ni Senador Pia Cayetano si Senador Imee Marcos sa tila panghihimasok nito sa panukalang batas na dinidinig na ng kanyang hawak na komite na committee on ways and means.
Tinukoy ni Cayetano ang pagdinig na isinagawa ng senate committee on economic affairs na pinamunuan ni Marcos hinggil sa Corporate Income Tax and Incentives Rationalization Act (CITIRA).
I accept the apology, however, I have difficulty understanding the explanation that the committee covers a wide range of topics, because if you look at the solution, there are five whereas clauses, and the last two resolutions are very specific on the effect of CITIRA, so, bakit ako nag-aaksaya ng panahon ko kung may iba palang maghi-hearing? I can very well focus on something else. Mr. President, I am happy to do so, I just do not want to waste my time. I would like a clear resolution on this matter,” ani Cayetano.
Samantala, bagamat humingi ng paumanin, ipinaliwanag naman ni Marcos ang layunin ng ginawa nyang pagdinig sa CITIRA.
