A showcase of dominance as Team Rise CDO finished undefeated heading into the championship game garnering a 4-0 record in the elimination round.
Team Rise faced off with the PNP where it was lopsided from the start as team mainstays Sagrado and Yañez displayed excellent leadership and mental focus throughout the game with a final score of 53-35.
When asked about the championship run, Sagrado, who is also the Division Chief for Disaster Coordination Center of CDRRMD, had this to say: “We started training together just two weeks prior to the tournament, but thanks to practices we had three times a week we quickly gelled and created the much needed team chemistry through the leadership of our playing coach Janet Yañez.”
Meanwhile, the team thanked Mayor Klarex Uy for giving them an avenue to compete and play the game they love through other government agencies, and all out support from Cagayan de Oro City Sports Office Headed by OIC Romarey B. Gorro and Executive Consultant Coach Reul R. Daba.
