Benguet Hospital Suspended Outpatient Department Due To COVID Surge


The Benguet General Hospital (BeGH) Outpatient Department consultations which include the Pediatrics, Internal Medicine and Dental, will be temporarily suspended starting today, September 20.

However, OB-Gyne Department will continue to be open from Monday to Friday and Surgery Department (Urology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, and EENT) from Monday to Friday 8AM to 12NN.

The hospital facility is implementing such measures due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases being admitted and some staff have also infected with the Coronavirus while some are on quarantine.

The hospital posted in their social media page added that they will also be limiting admission of surgical patients who needs emergency operations.

It can be recalled that Benguet Provincial Inter Agency Task Force ordered the suspension of tourism-related activities and mass gatherings to contain the drastic surge of COVID-19 caused by Delta variant.

Benguet Gov. Melchor D. Diclas stated that the suspension will be up to the end of the month pursuant to GCQ status of the province.

All hospitals and quarantine facilities in Benguet have already reached their maximum capacities.
