Baguio Cops Shared Contact Tracing Techniques To PMA

With the recent recorded COVID19 positive cases in the Philippine Military Academy (PMA), the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) has collaborated with the Local Government of Baguio to train the personnel of PMA in contact tracing.

Based on the report of Baguio CPO, a total of sixteen (16) personnel of PMA attended the one-day training on Contact Tracing which consist of four modules being used by COVID19 National Task Force (NTF): COVID 101, Retooled Contact Tracing System, Contact Tracing Analytical Tools and Cognitive Interviewing Skill.

Gracing the opening ceremony, Baguio City Mayor, Hon Benjamin B Magalong lauded the participants for their willingness to learn and support in controlling the spread of the virus not only in the PMA but to the City of Baguio.

During the training, BCPO Director, PCol. Allen Rae Co shared the measures the BCPO have undertaken in handling positive cases of COVID19 which includes conduct of ocular inspection and strategizing engineering and administrative adjustment to contain the spread of the virus in the workplace.

The one-day training ended with the City Mayor and the CD’s challenge and encouragement for the PMA to organize their own Contact Tracing Team, which the participants have committed to adapt the tools and training they have acquired in organizing their own team. Further, with the aid of BCPO contact tracer team to PMA’s present COVID19 situation, Capt. Miljun Penaflorida assured commitment to work as one with the BCPO and Baguio LGU in order for the City to Heal As One. (PROCOR RPIO)
