BAGUIO, CITY – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Cordillera Baguio/Benguet Provincial Office confiscated methamphetamine hydrochloride more popularly known as shabu worth Php 850,000.00, which weighed approximately 125 grams; and arrested a male suspect in a joint buy-bust operation with the Philippine Air Force’s (PAF) Tactical Operation Wing Northern Luzon, yesterday in Barangay Irisan, Baguio City.
The suspect was identified by PDEA-CAR Regional Director Derrick Arnold C. Carreon as a 29-year-old male, single, a native of Buguey, Cagayan Valley. He (the suspect) was caught after he sold two plastic sachets of shabu weighing 125 grams to an undercover agent.
The suspect is currently in the custody of PDEA Cordillera. Charges will be filed against him for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Meanwhile, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Cordillera (PDEA-CAR) Regional Director Derrick Arnold C. Carreon commended the Philippine Air Force’s (PAF) Tactical Operation Wing Northern Luzon for their interoperability, which made this anti-drug operation successful. – By: BABY TONG
