A total of 63 cops and ten non-uniform personnel were dismissed from the service since 2016 in the Cordillera after facing administrative charges due to grave offenses.

Police Regional Office Cordillera Regional Director, PBGEN Ronald Oliver Lee said that the figure was based on the records of the Regional Personnel Records Management Division since 2016.

Aside from the dismissal from Service, several penalties were imposed to police personnel who were charged for less serious offenses.

PBGEN Lee disclosed that aside from those who were dismissed, three personnel were fined, 14 were demoted, 150 police officers and 3 NUP were suspended, 136 were reprimanded while 13 had their privileges withheld.

“These figures are the manifestations that we do not condone any members of the PNP organization who violates the law”, PBGEN LEE said.

At present, PBGEN LEE is working closely with the Regional Internal Affairs Service (RIAS), PNP Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group (IMEG) and National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM)-CAR in carrying out the Internal Cleansing Program of the PNP.

He also instructed the Regional Forensic Unit-Cordillera to continuously conduct random and regular drug tests to ensure that all personnel are adhering to the PNP’s aggressive campaign against illegal drugs.

Lee warned that all police officers who will be involved in illegal activities will be given sanctions accordingly.

Despite the dismissal of the said police personnel, PBGEN Lee said that are PROCOR is still among the country’s topmost disciplined law enforcers, the Home of the Most Disciplined Cops.

It can be recalled that in 2019, PROCOR was branded as the “Home of Most Disciplined Cops” based on the Assessment Report by the National Police Commission. By Joseph Manzano
