BACOLOD CITY – A resolution requesting Baciwa Primewater to expedite the maintenance and rehabilitation of leaking water pipes in the City of Bacolod, was recently approved by the Bacolod Sangguniang Panlungsod.
The resolution authored by Councilor Roberto Rojas, said it has been observed and that numerous reports and complaints have been received from residents regarding several water pipes leaking in various areas in the City of Bacolod.
The continued leakage of water pipes resulting in the wastage of potable water, poses possible health and safety risks, and may adversely affect water supply, especially with the impending summer season, it said.
It is imperative to immediately address these concerns in order to ensure efficient water distribution to help deter possible shortage, conserve water resources, and safeguard public health of all Bacolodnons, the resolution added. (Chrysee Semillano via tvds)
