The Bacolod Sangguniang Panlungsod is enjoining all departments and agencies under the City Government of Bacolod to support the observance of the National Teacher’s Month from September 5 to October 5.
The resolution authored by Councilor Em Ang said the city recognizes the vital role that teachers play in shaping the minds and future of the youth, contributing significantly to the development of the community and nation.
The National Teacher’s Month is a nationwide campaign that aims to honor, celebrate, and recognize the indispensable role of the teachers in our society, fostering an environment of gratitude and respect for their tireless efforts in molding generations of learners, it said.
The resolution said the Bacolod City School’s Division is encouraged to organize events and activities that honor and recognize teachers within their jurisdiction, such as award ceremonies, appreciation luncheon, or creative activities.
Departments and agencies are encouraged to collaborate with educational institutions, non-government organizations, and community groups to organize city-wide events or initiatives that celebrate teachers during the National Teachers Month, it said.
The City Government of Bacolod acknowledges the importance of fostering a culture of appreciation and support for educators, acknowledging their dedication, hard work and commitment for the advancement of education, the resolution added.
