BACOLOD CITY – At least 17 business establishments were padlocked recently by the Bacolod Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO) and the City Legal Office (CLO) Enforcement Team for violating Section 65, Article 20 of City Ordinance 565.
Authorities said the establishments had already been issued formal notices to comply but failed to respond or meet the requirements within the given period.
Based on BPLO’s recent mapping inspections, over 100 establishments were found operating without business permits, prompting the issuance of compliance notices.
Mayor Greg Gasataya assured business owners they should not hesitate to report irregularities in the process, adding that the CLO remains open for dialogue to provide legal advice and assistance in meeting local government requirements.
The BPLO and CLO Enforcement Team vowed to continue strict enforcement of the ordinance. (news/ photo via BST PR via SunStar)
