Bacolod City – The camp of Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. confirms the rally in Antique was postponed, saying it’s “in the spirit of peace and unity.”
Marcos spokesperson Vic Rodriguez said the venue is in Biniyaran Sports Complex, about one kilometer from the initial venue at Evelio B. Javier Freedom Park, where martial law martyr Evelio Javier was killed.
Meanwhile, Hamtic Mayor Julius Pacificador, one of the organizers, told state media Philippine News Agency that they decided to postpone the campaign rally upon knowing that the EBJ Freedom Park in San Jose de Buenavista will be holding a program in celebration of the 36th anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution.
Pacificador, nephew of Marcos Sr. ally and former Antique Rep. Arturo Pacificador, said the event had been moved to March at Hamtic town, where 5,000 supporters are expected to participate. (Sean Rafio via The Daily Guardian (TDG), photo courtesy of TDG)
