Bacolod City – The Bacolod Traffic Authority Council (BTAC) will launch a 45-day experimental parking scheme along Lacson Street, Bacolod City starting today Monday.
The BTAC approved the 45-day experimental proposal, allowing free parking along Lacson Street, in response to the request of business establishment owners along the area. The experiment will cover areas near restaurants starting 7 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday, and the entire Saturday and Sunday, terminating at 5 a.m. on Monday.
The primary aim is to find a balance between maintaining smooth traffic flow on Lacson Street and providing customers of restaurant owners the opportunity to park near the establishments.
Should the 45-day experimental phase prove effective, the Sangguniang Panlungsod may consider its approval through a formal ordinance. (Chrysee Semillano via The Visayan Daily Star)
