Bacolod: 19 new COVID cases in NegOcc

Bacolod City – COVID-19 active cases in Negros Occidental recently jumped to 31, compared to 13 and less in the past several days, records of the Provincial Incident Management Team show.

PIMT recorded 19 new cases yesterday, bringing to 41,445 the total cases in Negros Occidental since March 27, 2020. Of those cases, 39,444 have already recovered, with 1,969 deaths.

COVID-19 cases in Negros Occidental even went down to seven on May 21, from a high of more than 4,000 cases in previous months.

While the Department of Health-Western Visayas recognizes the collective efforts of all in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, DOH regional director Adriano Suba-an advised the public to continue practicing the minimum public health standards. (Gilbert Bayoran via tvds photo by tvds)
