Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay – The Army’s 102nd Infantry (IGSOON) Brigade joins the nation in commemorating the 123rd Independence Day with the theme, “Kalayaan 2021: Diwa ng Kalayaan sa pagkakaisa at paghilom ng Bayan”, Saturday, June 12, 2021.
The Brigade conducted a traditional Flag Raising Ceremony which was led by Brig. Gen. Leonel Nicolas.
In his message, Brig. Gen. Nicolas reminded the troops to continue to honor the sacrifices made by our forefathers that ensured our generation today will enjoy the freedom that they fought with their lives.
“I enjoin all of you to continue the honorable traditions of those who have gone before us and protect the Filipino people from those who would like to take away the freedom we have,” said Brig. Gen. Nicolas.
“Together, as one nation and one people, we will rise to whatever situation and challenges, as we heal as united Filipinos, that moves towards peace and progress beyond political colors, ethnicities, religion and color,” Brig.
