Albert De los Santos from Guiwan is the weightlifting youth champion, as he bested other contestants from all over the globe in the Men 61kg category in the 2023 IWF World Youth Championship being held in Durres, Albania from March 25 – April 1, 2023.
In the same competition, Pasobolong lass Angeline Colonia ranked second as she captured 1 silver and 1 gold in the Women 45kg category.
Albert is coached by Alvin Delos Santos and Diwa Delos Santos while Colonia is coached by Gregorio Colonia.
