At around 3:37am today, Aug. 16, 82 returning OFWs arrived at the Bancasi airport, Butuan City aboard PAL sweeper flight PR 4993.
The breakdown of the 82 returning OFWs is as follows:
Butuan City – 21
Agusan del Norte – 16
Agusan del Sur – 14
Surigao del Norte – 11
Surigao del Sur – 16
Dinagat Islands – 2
Misamis Oriental – 2 (Gingoog City)
33 of the arriving OFWs (Butuan City-21; Buenavista – 1; Cabadbaran City – 3; Magallanes – 2; Nasipit – 4 ;Gingoog City, MisOr – 2) were immediately fetched by their respective LGUs while the remaining 49 were temporarily billeted at the accommodation arranged by OWWA Caraga while waiting for their concerned LGUs to ferry them to their respective localities subject to the established health protocols in their area.
