Ang amazona nailhan nga si Brenda Serenio 24 anyos taga Sitio Kamansi, Brgy Banglay, munisipyo sa Lagonglong.
Gibanabanang 20 NPA terrorists ang nakasangka sa mga sundalo ug human sila nanibat, didto nakit-an ang patay’ng lawas sa ilang kaubanan nga may armas nga M14.
Ang mga rebeldeng NPA nailhan nga Platoon PPH, Huawei, Sub-Regional Committee 1 (SRC 1), Northern Central Mindanao Regional Command (NCMRC). Narecover sa encounter site ang isa ka landmine, isa ka cignus radio, isa ka solar panel charger, 13 sako sa bugas, medical supplies, personal nga kagamitan ug mga subversive documents.
Sumala pa ni Lieutenant Colonel Ricky L Canatoy, Commanding Officer sa 58th Infantry (Dimalulupig) Battalion, “Our sincere condolences to the bereaved family of the killed female rebel. Another life is wasted and lost for fighting the wrong ideologies of the NPA. We hope that this will be the last person who sacrificed her life just for nothing.”
