518 DUDEZ wins in the Zamboanga Street Dance Battle

COMMUNITY DANCE GROUP 518 DUDEZ was hailed champion of the “Zamboanga Street Dance Battle” held Saturday, March 4 at the jampacked Mayor Vitaliano Agan Coliseum in Tetuan.

The group bested 23 other participants coming from the schools, community and organizations in the city, and brought home P40,000.

The Ateneo Blue Vigors Queens went home with P30K as first runner-up while Groove Flavaz was adjudged second runner-up with P20K cash prize.

Mayor John Dalipe together with Vice Mayor Josephine Pareja and Councilor Jerome Santos led the awarding rites after the over 3-hour competition. District 1 Cong Khymer Olaso and District 2 Cong Mannix Dalipe, represented by Jojo Dalipe, also graced the activity.

The street dance battle, formerly billed as hip-hop dance showdown was organized by the City Government’s Local Youth Development Office (LYDO)led by Executive Assistant IV Gio Perez and held as part of the post 86th Dia de Zamboanga commemorative activities, spearheaded by the City Tourism Office.
