Zamboanga City – The City Health Office (CHO) has revealed that 3,637 health care workers were already vaccinated in Zamboanga City.
Dr. Dulce Amor Miravite said this includes health care workers from the government health facilities, private hospitals, and Local Government Unit (LGU) manned isolation facilities.
Miravite said, yesterday they vaccinated 34 at LGU isolation facilities.
Those who took their first dose of Sinovac or AstraZeneca will have their second dose after four weeks for full protection.
A total 414 vials of AstraZeneca were given to the city and 2,487 Sinovac by the Department of Health.
The city health officer said they are targeting to finish vaccinating health care workers by the end of April and by May or June they will start with the Senior Citizens and those with comorbidities.
Covid -19 vaccination started from the medical frontliners as they are exposed to the virus and taking care of Covid 19 patients.
The city recorded 4,232 confirmed Covid cases, 3,980 recovered, 63 active, and 189 deaths.
