Thirty six families with 108 individuals were affected by flash flood in Zamboanga City Sunday afternoon.
City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) Socorro Rojas identified the areas affected: Sitio Basagan, Barangay Curuan, Barangays Tagasilay, and Buenavista.
The flash flood happened after the city experienced heavy rains.
Rojas in an interview with RPN DXXX Zamboanga said, family food packs consisting of rice and canned goods were already distributed to the families and they are currently staying with relatives.
Two houses in barangays Buenavista and two houses in Tagasilay were washed out. Each houses has two families.
City housing inspected the area to also check what assistance can be give to the families.
