Two detainees, who managed to escape from police custody, were recaptured during the hot pursuit operation conducted by Zamboanga City Police Station 10 (Labuan) and Officials of Brgy. Labuan, Zamboanga City on December 4, 2020.
Kimsar Kahaluddin Usman, 26 years old, male, married, jobless, was recaptured at Purok 4, Brgy. Labuan, Zamboanga City at about 10:30 AM of December 4, 2020 while Alsam Jamaani Isnain, 24 years old, male, married, jobless, high school level was taken into police custody after he voluntarily surrendered to Abdulhamid Cobot Usman, Barangay Captain of Brgy. Panganuran, Sibuco, Zamboanga Del Norte, who brought the escapee to Sibuco Municipal Police Station at about 8:00 PM of December 4, 2020.
Both detainees, who were facing drug charges, are now under the custody of said police station. They were recently apprehended in a drug buy-bust operation conducted by the said police station.
Investigation disclosed that the two detainees managed to escape from the police custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 10 at about 3:00 AM of December 4, 2020 after returning from Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office 9 for a drug test which was requisite prior filing a case.
They ran and escaped towards the shoreline of Purok 4, Brgy. Labuan, Zamboanga City while still on handcuffed as the police escort were about to bring them to the police station for custody.
