The first-ever Higalaay Ultramarathon is set to go full blast this coming Saturday night, November 18 & early Sunday, November 19 at city hall quadrangle as hundreds of long-distance runners from Cagayan de Oro City and nearby areas in Northern Mindanao and all over Mindanao have confirmed participation to the said race.
In a courtesy visit to Mayor Klarex Uy this morning, Ambassador Ringky Tagarda and officers of race organizer, One CdeO Runners Club, said the 50-km run will start 10pm at city hall on Saturday, while the 25-km run will start at 1am on Sunday at same venue.
Mayor Klarex expressed his support to the race event as its proceeds will be used for the group’s community outreach program which will benefit children at the city-run Home Care for Girls and Bahay Pag-asa for Boys.
