1ID Commander honored as one of the Most Outstanding Pagadianons on the 55th Anniversary of Araw ng Pagadian

Camp Sang-An, ZDS – The 1st Infantry (Tabak) Division proudly participated in the 55th Anniversary celebration of Araw ng Pagadian, themed “Kadaugan sa Katawhan, Ang Pag-asenso sa Dakbayan,” with a notable Military Static Display at the Rizal Shrine, Plaza Luz, Pagadian City, on June 21.

During the event, Maj. Gen. Gabriel C. Viray III received recognition as one of the Most Outstanding Pagadianons in the field of Uniformed Service, alongside other distinguished guests and agencies in the city.

The 55th Anniversary of Araw ng Pagadian was commemorated to promote the City’s progressive achievements in collaboration with the 1st Infantry (Tabak) Division and other agencies.

A key feature of the celebration was the Military Static Display, showcasing the transformation and service of the Tabak Troopers. The display included participation from the 1st Civil-Military Operations Battalion, 3rd Scout Ranger Battalion, 53rd Infantry (Matapat) Battalion, 1st Field Artillery Battalion, 4th Special Forces Battalion, 1st Cavalry (Tagapanguna) Battalion, and Tactical Operations Group (TOG9).

Honorable Samuel S. Co, Mayor of Pagadian City, expressed gratitude to the Tabak Troopers for their active participation. He emphasized the vital role soldiers play in maintaining peace and harmony, ensuring a safe environment, and being prepared for emergencies.

Meanwhile, Maj. Gen. Gabriel C. Viray lll, Commander of JTF Zampelan and 1ID, expressed his gratitude to the Mayor of Pagadian City for his unwavering devotion to the people. He also remarked that military duty strengthens interpersonal skills and connections, resulting in camaraderie and lasting friendships, and that peace and progress would constantly be perpetuated.
