ย After a series of intense and brain-twisting matches, the organizers of the 5th Benguet Chess Tournament officially announced the winners in the Kiddies and Open Divisions during the competition held at Gov. Bado Dangwa Agro-Industrial School (GBDAIS) at Balakbak, Kapangan, Benguet on January 24. Tournament Organizer Carlos K. Mama-o Jr., a FIDE Arbiter and NCFP National Instructor, disclosed that Ebhram Hull of Itogon, Benguet emerged champion in the Kiddies Division. Kyler Zian Cosalan of Benguet State Universityโ€“La Trinidad claimed second place, while Daren Tello of Kibungan, Benguet secured third. Meanwhile, Brent Ray Lorenzano of Saint Louis Center, Inc.โ€“Baguio City topped the Open Division after outmaneuvering 2nd Benguet Chess Tournament champion Bert Tariagao of La Trinidad.
