Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad Benguet – Some P3.3-million worth of marijuana plants were destroyed by forces of the Police in Kalinga and Benguet in the afternoon of August 15, 2021.
According to police report two marijuana plantation sites were discovered in barangay Bugnay, Tinglayan, Kalinga and one in Kibungan, Benguet.
Operatives of Kalinga Police discovered 16,500 fully grown marijuana plants in two plantation site in their area of operation.
While in Benguet, local police discovered a marijuana plantation site at sitio Topinao, Madaymen, Kibungan with 50 pieces of fully grown marijuana plants.
The marijuana plants were burned on-site and intensive investigation is ongoing to identify possible cultivators.
