The Sangguniang Panlalawigan approved and adopted the museum policies, gallery protocols and regulations of the “Bayay Surigaonon”.
In a thorough deliberation, the SP members moved to institutionalize this Museum on Surigaonon Social History. The building actually had its soft opening last December but was partially damaged by Typhoon Odette. Now after it has been repaired, some protocols must be officially adopted to be ready for its public viewing this September.
The “Bayay Surigaonon” will address the insensitivity of the young generation in nurturing our cultural heritage. It will serve as repository of artifacts and memorabilia contributory to the narratives of the culture and arts of the Surigaonon.
