The Zamboanga City Medical Center (ZCMC) Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) Center is now almost full of Covid positive patients as active cases in the city continues to soar.
Dr. Shadrina Tahil – Sarapuddin, ZCMC Spokesperson said, for the Covid Center there are 86 available beds. As of April 15 there are 77 bed occupied only 9 beds are vacant.
Some of the case inside the facility includes: moderate case 35, severe case eight, and newborn four whose mother are positive.
Per duty there are 27 staff nurse, seven doctors these are composed of internist, OB Gyne, Pediatrician, and Surgeons, four Medical Technologies, three Radiologic Technologist, and 12 housekeeping.
Sarapuddin said, the plan is to put up additional beds. This is still under assessment by the planning officer.
This will be done by the hospital as soon as possible. They are planning to add around 50 percent additional beds.
Zamboanga City Medical Center is region 9’s Covid 19 referral facility.
Zamboanga City has 4,864 cases, 492 active, 4,164 recovered, and 208 deaths. (R.G. Antonet A. Go)
