Team Climaco expressed its support and hopping that Davao City Mayor, Sara Duterte will still join the presidential race this 2022.
Cesar Jimenez Jr., Team Climaco standard bearer, said “We are hopping that Mayor Sara will file her Certificate of Candidacy for President.”
The deadline for the filling of Certificate of Candidacy was last October 8, Jimenez said they are waiting for November 15 the deadline for substitution.
He believes that anything can happen in the national level.
Meanwhile, Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco Salazar, expressed her support saying Duterte is a lawyer and she is competent.
Aside from these Zamboanga and Davao are sister Cities and she considers Duterte as daughter of Zamboanga City.
Recall, Duterte already filed her COC at Davao City running for reelection as Davao City Mayor.
Jimenez is under the party of Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC) while the party of Salazar is Partido Prosperidad y Amor para na Zamboanga or (PAZ).
The current number of registered voters for Zamboanga City for district 1, the city has 193,912 registered voters covering 37 barangays while 209,552 for district 2 covering 61 barangays.
