ZAMBOANGA: SOLAR STREET LIGHTS TO BE INSTALLED ALONG BYPASS ROAD

    To enhance safety and security, improve visibility and facilitate better access for residents and motorists, the city government will install solar street lights along the Zamboanga bypass road covering the San Roque-Cabatangan-Pasonanca-Tumaga-Lunzuran area.

    This, as Mayor Khymer Olaso led the groundbreaking ceremony for the installation of the solar-powered streetlights project Thursday afternoon, January 22.

    The project, covering a 9.55-kilometer stretch aims to improve road safety, visibility, and security along major thoroughfares. It will be implemented by Bendimil Construction and Development Corporation with a contract amount of ₱99,899,778.96.

    Present during the ceremony were barangay officials from the four barangays, along with City Councilors Mel Sadain, Vladimir Jimenez, Bong Atilano, Gian Paolo Enriquez, Lit-Lit Macrohon, and Joel Esteban, who expressed support for the infrastructure project that will benefit motorists and nearby communities.
