Brimming with anticipation to showcase their sports talent, the San Beda Red Lions pay a courtesy visit to City Hall Monday, February 16, as they gear up for the Dia de Zamboanga Open Invitational Basketball Showdown at the Mayor Vitaliano Agan Coliseum in Tetuan from February 22 to 24, 2026.
Mayor Khymer Olaso welcomed the delegation, highlighting the city’s support for sportsmanship, teamwork, and camaraderie. He also shared his excitement to join the players in a friendly game ahead of the invitational showdown, adding to the team’s enthusiasm.
The visit, which forms part of the 89th Charter Anniversary of the Dia de Zamboanga, includes the presentation of a token of appreciation at the City Hall conference room.
As of Tuesday, February 17, the Red Lions are keeping their momentum strong by competing in the 4th Governor Ann K. Hofer Open Commercial Basketball Tournament in Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay.
