Zamboanga: First Super Health Center in Western Mindanao unveiled in Sangali

The Department of Health-9, Office of Senator Christopher ‘Bong’ Go and the Office of District II Representative and Majority Leader Mannix Dalipe together with Mayor John Dalipe Thursday morning unveil the P13.4M Super Health Center in Sangali.

Aimed to enhance health care services through primary care, consultation and early detection, the facility comes with medical equipment worth P1.5M. The super health center sits in an area of 589-square meter property owned by the city government.

Residents of Sangali and the neighboring areas will get the opportunity to avail of various medical services not readily available in ordinary health centers, such as dental, birthing, and laboratory examination to include X-ray, ECG, and ultrasound, and others.

Aside from the Sangali Super Health Center, touted as the first Super Health Center in the entire Zamboanga Peninsula region, two other medium Super Health Centers in Talon-talon and Manicahan are now under construction. This is to provide more comprehensive and accessible healthcare to the people.

Mayor Dalipe expressed gratitude to the DOH-9, Senator Christopher ‘Bong’ Go represented by Asec Jade Jamolod and Cong. Mannix Dalipe, represented by Jojo Dalipe, for their unwavering support in realizing the project.

He stressed that the Sangali Super Health Center would go a long way in improving the overall health outcomes and promoting the well-being of the people in the city.

The Sangali Super Health Center reflects the government’s commitment to prioritize the health and welfare of its citizens.

Also present during the turnover rites were DOH Undersecretary Abdullah Dumama, Vice Mayor Josephine Pareja, DOH OIC Director Dr. Joshua Brilliantes, City Health Officer Dr. Dulce Amor Miravite, City Councilors, DOH staff, City Health Office staff, Sangali Chairperson Ruben Arcillas and chairpersons of nearby barangays to name a few.
