Zamboanga City To Experience Paskong Pamilyang Pilipino For 2020 Christmas Decor

The City of Zamboanga will still decorate the century old city hall with Christmas lights and decorations this December, the Mayor announced.

For this year, the city will adopt a resilient theme Paskong Pamilyang Pilipino for its yearly Christmas decorations.

This was revealed by Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco Salazar during a virtual press conference yesterday evening.

“We celebrate the birth of our Lord by giving the people, the Filipino families hope in this time of pandemic.” Salazar said.

 

The mayor added, 2013 despite the Zamboanga Siege, the city was still decorated for Christmas.

 

Ample decorations will be placed so that the minds of the public which will turn sadness due to pandemic to hope.

For 2019, the theme of the city’s Christmas decoration was Mexican Style Christmas where it amounted to more than ₱ 3 million.

Every year, the city government is decorating the City Hall, Paseo del Mar, main roads, Plaza Pershing, and the Integrated Bus Terminal.

The City Hall, is the center of attraction both young and all especially during Christmas. The city’s center of government is fully lighted and decorated for the holiday season. (R.G. Antonet A. Go)
