ENHORABUENA to the winners of the 2024 Drum and Lyre Competition held at the City Hall grounds Tuesday night, October 8 highlighting day 10 of the Zamboanga Hermosa Festival 2024.
Fourteen (14) of the city’s most talented drum and lyre groups battled it out for the title in the 3 categories of the contest: Elementary category – 4 participants; high school category – 3 participants, and Open Category – 7 contestants.
Mayor John Dalipe expressed gratitude to the participants for demonstrating sportsmanship and for their impressive performances during the competition. He likewise thanked the judges and the organizers for making the annual activity a huge success.
The winners are as follows:
Elementary category
1st – Mighty Egret – Tulungatung ES (P80K)
2nd – Tetuan Central School (P50K)
3rd – D’ Awakening Dragons (Boalan ES) (P30K)

Best Mallet – Mighty Egret (P5K)
