Camp Col. Rafael C. Rodriguez, Butuan City – A law enforcement operation in Cabadbaran City was conducted that led to the arrest of a suspect facing child abuse case today, July 2.
PRO13 Director POLICE BRIGADIER GENERAL ROMEO M. CARAMAT JR. identified the suspect as Jundie C. Subrastas, 20 years old, resident of Barangay Comagascas, Cabadbaran City, Agusan del Norte who was apprehended by Cabadbaran City Police Station at Barangay Magdagooc, Jabonga, Agusan del Norte by virtue of warrant of arrest with recommended bail bond amounting to ₱ 80,000.
Based on investigation, the accused impregnated the minor victim last January 2021.
The Regional Trial Court, 10th Judicial Region, Branch 34 of Cabadbaran City, Agusan del Norte found sufficient evidence against the accused for trial in violating R.A 7610 known as “Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act”.
