Be informed that at about 8:30 PM of October 7, 2020, Dapitan City Police Station (CPS) received a call from a concerned citizen informing that there was a vehicular traffic incident transpired at Brgy. Barcelona, Dapitan City. Immediately, duty traffic investigator proceeded at the area where VTA happen involving Honda Beat MC (V1) bearing plate number 0908-3358703 and white Toyota FJ Cruiser (V2) bearing plate number A1P496 that resulted to damage to property and physical injuries.
Initial investigation disclosed that both vehicles were travelling along Barcelona National Highway in an opposite direction wherein V1 driven by Dante Gallemit Dondoyano, 54 years old male, and a resident of Brgy. Dampalan, Dapitan City was coming from Brgy. Barcelona going to Dapitan City, while V2 driven by Yichuan Li Calama, 47 years old, male, and a resident of Calamba Misamis Occidental, was coming from Potungan, Dapitan City. That upon reaching at the said place of incident, the driver of V1 losses control on his driven MC that causes him to overreach the other lane and accidentally bumped to Veh2 which was coming from opposite direction.
As a result, driver of V1 incurred multiple injuries while his driven MC was damage as well as to V2. The driver of V1 was believed to be under the influence of liquor. The driver of V1 was immediately brought to DJRMH for medical treatment while his MC is impounded at Dapitan CPS for safekeeping and further investigation.
