PRESS RELEASE from PRO 13:
Camp Col. Rafael C. Rodriguez, Butuan City — The top 1 most wanted person in Agusan del Sur who is a member of Communist New People’s Army Terrorists (CNTs) was arrested in a joint police operation in Purok 2A, Brgy. Salvacion, Trento, Agusan del Sur yesterday, September 27.
Police Brigadier General Romeo M Caramat, Jr, Regional Director of Police Regional Office 13, identified the arrested NPA member as Danny Salado Litada alias “Laklak Litada”, 42 years old, resident of Purok 2A, Brgy. Salvacion, Trento, Agusan del Sur and a CNT member under Weakened Guerilla Front (WGF) 20, Southern Mindanao Regional Committee (SMRC).
The operation was conducted by PNP personnel of Trento Municipal Police Station (MPS), Agusan del Sur Provincial Intelligence Unit and Agusan del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) based on the strength of multiple arrest warrants issued by Presiding Judge Dante Luz N. Viacrucis of RTC Branch 6, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur dated August 9, 2012 for the crimes of Robbery, Double Murder, Double Attempted Murder, and Kidnapping and Serious Illegal Detention docketed under Criminal Case Numbers 7608, 7606, 7607, and 7609 with no bail bond recommended.
Meanwhile, nine CNT members of North Eastern Mindanao Regional Committee (NEMRC) surrendered to 2nd Surigao del Sur PMFC around 2:00 PM yesterday.
Added in the long list of CNT members who surrendered were:
- a.k.a. Steven, 21 years old, single, NPA member under Squad 3, GFC30, NEMRC, CY 2017-2018 Periodic Status Report (RPS) Listed, of Purok 5, Barangay Sibahay, Lanuza, Surigao Del Sur (SDS);
- a.k.a. Cesar, 39 years old, Militia ng Bayan under SYP platoon, WGF 19 NEMRC, of Anahao-daan, Tago, SDS;
- a.k.a. Kimod, 17 years old, single, NPA member under SYP Platoon, WGF19, NEMRC, CY 2020 PSR Listed, of Barangay Anahao-daan, Tago, Surigao del Sur;
- a.k.a. Omer, 18 years old, NPA member under SYP Platoon, WGF19, NEMRC, CY 2020 PSR Listed, of Barangay Anahao-daan, Tago, Surigao del Sur;
- a.k.a. Botoy, 34 years old, Militia ng Bayan under SYP Platoon, WGF19, NEMRC, of Barangay Anahao-daan, Tago, Surigao del Sur;
- a.k.a. Kyubot, 17 years old, NPA member under Squad 3, SYP Platoon, WGF19, NEMRC, CY 2020 PSR Listed, of Barangay Anahao-daan, Tago, Surigao del Sur;
- a.k.a. Lampas, 52 years old, Militia ng Bayan under SYP Platoon, WGF19, NEMRC, of Barangay Boringon, Marihatag, Surigao del Sur;
- a.k.a. Mosaw, 30 years old, Militia ng Bayan under SYP Platoon, WGF19, NEMRC, of Barangay Anahao-daan, Tago, Surigao del Sur; and
- a.k.a. Tonyo, 46 years old, Militia ng Bayan under SYP Platoon, WGF-19 NEMRC, of Barangay Anahao-daan, Tago, Surigao del Sur.
The surrendered CNT members turned over two hand grenades, one M203 ammunition, one Colt AR-15 with two magazines, three improvised shotguns, one caliber .38 Revolver, 10 ammunition of caliber .38 revolver, two ammunition of caliber .45, 47 ammunition of M16, one green bull cap and one improvised caliber .22 rifle.
The surrenderees are now in the custody of 2nd SDSPMFC while their papers are being processed for admission in the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP).
