An entrapment operation were conducted on May 17, 2021 at Barangay Magsaysay, Placer, Surigao del Norte by detectives of CIDG 13-Surigao Del Norte PFU together with Placer Municipal Police Station and PIU SDN in relation of the CIDG flagship project OPLAN MEGASHOPPER that resulted to the arrest of aforementioned suspects.

and a resident of Purok Mauswagon, Brgy. Magsaysay, Placer, Surigao del Norte;
- MAIC AMIKIR y LUMAYON, 42 years old, male, married and a resident of Purok-Mapaso, Barangay Magsaysay, Placer, Surigao del Norte;
- RANEL PABALATE y CASAMAYOR , 41 years old, male, married and a resident of Brgy. Magsaysay, Surigao del Norte;
Confiscated items:
- Two (2) pcs genuine 100 peso bill with Serial number TW758201 and NA640096 with initial marking “RMA” and” MTP” respectively;(buy-bust money)
2.Four (4) pieces pirated DVD’s and CD’s; (buy-bust item)
- One thousand One hundred pieces of assorted pirated CD’s and DVD’s; and
- Five (5) pieces pornographic CD’s;
Details:
All confiscated assorted pornographic pirated CD’s and DVD’s with total estimated market value of ₱ 55,000.00;
Arrested persons and the pieces of evidence confiscated were under the custody of this office for safe keeping and proper disposition while a criminal case is being prepared for appropriate filing.
