Engineer Zenaida M. Cabiles, Regional Manager of NHA Region XI, graced the ground breaking ceremony of Balai Hirogo-unan in Sitio Basak of Brgy. Sto. Nino of the Municipality of Talaingod, Davao del Norte on December 3, 2020.
She also turned over the four checks amounting to 60 Million Pesos to Mayor Jonnie Libayao for the following IP housing projects:
- Balai Pamanoykan for sitio cuyas
- Balai Hirogo-unan for Basak
- Balai Himulayanan for Lomondong
- Balai Hibatanan for Central Baugan
The total grant fund for every area is 20 Million Pesos. However, only 15 Million Pesos each of the area was released to LGU as first tranche based on the agency’s guidelines.
The remaining 5 Million Pesos will be released once the implementation reaches 80% physical accomplishment.
All in all, the grant fund from NHA is 80 Million Pesos.
400 housing units will be constructed to provide decent dwelling structures to 400 hundred IP families.
The projects will be implemented by LGU Talaingod.
Governor Edwin I. Jubahib and Congressman Pantaleon D. Alvarez sent their representatives to deliver inspiring message.
The NCIP Provincial Officer of Davao del Norte also attended the ceremony.
Representatives from 56IB, Philippine Army and Philippine National Police also joined the activity.
The presence of Vice Mayor Francisco Gipulla and SB Member Gerardo Colobong further solidifies the priority development of Libayao and Gipulla tandem. The support of all the members of the Sangguniang Bayan, Department Heads and employees of Talaingod is truly inspiring.

You are all instrumental for these dream come true projects of Talaingod.
