Ten locally stranded individuals (LSIs) who recently arrived in Negros Occidental before the travel moratorium tested positive for COVID-19.

Provincial Incident Management Team (PIMT) Negros Occidental head Zeaphard Caelian said the 10 LSIs are under quarantine in their respective local government units.

PIMT records showed that from Dec 20 to 21, 2020, a total of 632 LSIs arrived in the province, but they tested negative for the virus.

Caelian said that “the rest who arrived during the period were returning overseas Filipinos (RoFs), who were not subjected to swab tests.”
