Securing public safety, the regionโs fourth most wanted person for statutory rape was arrested by police operatives from Del Carmen Municipal Police Station and Dapa Maritime Law Enforcement in a joint manhunt operation yesterday, June 28.
POLICE COLONEL LAUDEMER M. LAUDE, the Provincial Director, identified the accused as a 19-year-old single, jobless person from Del Carmen, Surigao del Norte.
Around 4:50 p.m. yesterday, the police operatives from Del Carmen Municipal Police Station and Dapa Maritime Law Enforcement, in a joint manhunt operation, arrested the accused in his residence at Purok-4, Barangay Tuboran, Del Carmen town, by virtue of a warrant of arrest for the crime of statutory rape under criminal case number 24-71.
The Regional Trial Court (RTC), 10th Judicial Region, Branch 31 of Dapa, Surigao del Norte, issued and docketed the warrant of arrest of the accused with no bail recommended on May 31, 2024.

Their warrants of arrest serve as the basis for them to surrender themselves to police authorities for the crimes they have committed. I commend the police troops for not allowing this accused to evade justice for his crimes,โ PD Laude said.
The arrested person Is now under the custody of Del Carmen Municipal Police Station for proper disposition. (Mark James Lisondra)
