The police authorities of General Luna Municipal Police Station detained a wanted individual for theft as part of their efforts to locate the individual with an outstanding arrest warrant and raise public awareness, potentially leading to the capture of the wanted fugitive yesterday, May 9.
Police Colonel LAUDEMER M LAUDE, Provincial Director, identified the accused as a 39-year-old single construction worker, a native of Batangas and residing in Del Carmen, Surigao del Norte.
The police authorities of General Luna Municipal Police Station arrested a wanted individual for theft yesterday around 6:00 p.m. at Barangay Tuboran, Del Carmen town, by virtue of a warrant of arrest under criminal case number MCTC24-006.
On May 3, 2024, the warrant of arrest of the accused was issued by the Municipal Circuit Trial Court (MCTC), 4th Judicial Region at Talisay Laurel, Batangas, with a fixed bail bond in the amount of Php6, 000.00 for his temporary liberty.
“SDN PNP’s publicizing campaigns against wanted persons send a message that we are actively pursuing those who evade arrest. This can act as a deterrent to others who may consider engaging in criminal activities. We will not stop hunting all of you who are hiding from the law and who have existing warrants of arrest,” PD Laude stated.
The arrested accused Is now under the custody of General Luna Municipal Police Station for proper disposition. (Mark James Lisondra)
