A total of 410 families in Surigao City received family food packs (FFPs) from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and City Social Welfare and Development (CSWDO) in exchange for their various voluntary work in their respective barangays and for their participation in the food-for-work program.
The distribution of the 2,050 food packs was held yesterday, November 29, 2023, at Brgy. San Juan Gym. These beneficiaries are from selected Island barangays and volunteer groups who give support in the cleaning and maintenance activities of their barangay.
A total of 1,527 received family food packs from Batch 1 to 2 in Mainland and Island Barangays.
The distribution was also attended by Vice Mayor Alfonso S. Casurra, Brgy. San Juan Captain Soledito S. Monteros, Barangay Affairs Officer Ariel Benolirao and Mr. Mark Caven C. Salar, RSW, MSSW.
