The City Government of Surigao, through the City Tourism and Cultural Affairs Office, toured members of the Philippine Tourism Promotions Board (PTPB) and travel operators from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao on November 12, 2024, as part of PTPB’s Domestic Tourism Invitation Program.

The City Tourism Office guided the group through key sites, including various hotels and resorts, the Battle of Surigao Strait Memorial Museum, Day-asan Floating Village, Mapawa Cave, and other city highlights, with a stop for souvenir shopping at the OTOP center.

This firsthand experience aims to support travel operators in crafting authentic offerings that showcase Surigao’s unique attractions.

This initiative underscores the City Government’s commitment to promoting Surigao City as a prime domestic destination and fostering sustainable local tourism growth.
