The Surigao City Agriculture Office received recognition at the Department of Agriculture-Caraga (DA Caraga) Agri Awards Ceremony on November 8, 2024, held at Robinsons Mall in Butuan City.
Sandra H. Desoloc, Agriculturist II and Coordinator of the High-Value Crops Program (HVCP) was named Outstanding Agricultural Extension Worker (AEW) of the Year.
Additionally, Desoloc and the City Agriculture Office were awarded Plaques of Recognition and Appreciation for their consistent efforts in implementing the High Value Crops Development Program (HVCDP). Their work also contributed to their success in the High Value Crops Achievers’ Awards 2024.
The awards were presented by DA Caraga Regional Director Arlan M. Mangelen. Acting City Agriculturist Amelita N. Dela Cerna also represented Surigao City at the ceremony.
The City Government of Surigao remains committed to supporting local farmers and promoting high-value crop initiatives to drive agricultural growth in Surigao City.
