Nickel Asia Corporation – Cagdianao Mining Corporation is the first to be awarded in the Province of Dinagat Islands with the government’s Safety Seal.
The Safety Seal is awarded to the companies compliant with the minimum public health standards set by the government and uses or integrates its contact tracing mechanism.
Notably, CMC adopted the Contact Tracing Apps from Subay with the help of the Municipal Inter-Agency Task Force of Cagdianao. A no-entry and exit policy within the mine camp without the E-health pass for CMC employees and visitors.
The safety seal was awarded in September 20, 2021 by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
DOLE Secretary Silvestre “Bebot” Bello III officially awarded the Safety Seal Certificate yesterday (October 5, 2021) in Almont Hotel, Butuan City and received by Engr. Joel Reyes, CMC Admin Manager with CMC Union President Manuelito Endriga.
During the awarding ceremony, Sec. Bello committed to give NAC-CMC a one-year ‘no inspection’ period as a privilege for being a fully compliant company.
Meanwhile, CMC extend its congratulations to sister companies the Hinatuan Mining and Taganito Mining a Nickel Asia Corporation operating companies in CARAGA Re gion for also having been awarded the Safety Seal.
